HHarmony Engine Technology
The HHarmony System is a retrofit technology for diesel engines that uses Hydrogen Enhanced Combustion (HEC) to reduce fuel consumption equal to or greater than 17%, and greatly reduce carbon emissions.
This system is engineered to burn diesel fuel more efficiently, which means fuel savings for you, and emissions reductions for the environment. In the long-term, HHarmony adds years to the life of an engine, and operators rest easy knowing there will be no emissions fines as their engines easily meet the Tier 4 emissions standards.
How Does HHarmony Work?
As a retrofit solution the HHarmony System is non-intrusive – it works with the requirements of the engine and your business.
The electrolyzer is connected to the inlet manifold, and the distilled water reservoir can be mounted anywhere space allows. The size of the reservoir can also be customized to suit the needs of your fleet service schedule. Inside the electrolyzer hydrogen is produced using electrical current to separate the hydrogen and oxygen molecules in water. The gas is then injected into the engine’s air intake, and burned during the normal combustion process.
Because hydrogen is never stored, and produced in very small quantities only when the engine is running, this system is extremely safe.
It's Not Magic, It’s Science: Hydrogen Enhanced Combustion
The basics of Hydrogen Enhanced Combustion (HEC) have been investigated since WWI because of the enormous potential it presents for increasing engine efficiency. Hydrogen acts as an accelerator in the combustion process, ensuring that the diesel fuel is burned more completely.
The natural result of burning carbon-based fuels more effectively is a reduction in the formation of carbon emissions. This more efficient burn also translates into more energy delivered to the crank shaft – in other words, fuel savings!

Gliide
Used in conjunction with the HHarmony System is GEO's proprietary lubricant and metal conditioner, Gliide . The product derives from a lubricant proven in tests by the renowned Falex laboratories, and used by NASA for shuttle launch support vehicles. With an extensive history of field use, Gliide is a proven product for reducing friction, block temperatures, and extending engine life.
Activated by heat and pressure, Gliide achieves a 75% friction reduction by causing a chemical reaction that forms a smoother and denser alloy within metal surfaces to a depth of five microns. This lubricant withstands extreme operational temperatures, causes no residual build-up, and takes effect only on metal surfaces. |
